Visual Language

Hennessey Group, Inc., the parent company of legal marketing agency leaders Hennessey Digital opened up Hennessey Studios, the newest studio space on the Television Academy Campus in Los Angeles. Hennessey Studios is a production playground that offers video and audio production services and facility rentals in a fun space backed by robust technology and secure data storage.

This amazing team came to me in need of a visual language that would be used for their website, social media channels and for their advertising. I decided to use a customer focused strategy—a strategy that places the individual customer at the center of all marketing initiatives—and therefore feature their target audience in my design. In a couple of weeks the team chose a look & feel that I get to see and enjoy all over LA!

Who is Hennessey Studios?

HS gives you the production, placement and promotion power to connect and grow your fan bases. HS is a new digital playground for video and podcast production, placement and promotion in the heart of NoHo.

Customer focused strategy – Consumers can find everything they need from review sites, social media, and Google searches. Countless studies have proven that consumers are more likely to trust a referral from a friend or equal in their industry than a large corporation. Therefore, these types of marketing efforts are two-fold: they show your customers how important they are to you, and they help prospects understand the true value of your company.

Design Process

I really liked the pop of this purple stock image and the attitude of the talent. With some UI elements, I gave it a digital/editorial look.

To tell the Hennessey story, there is some blue on the left as an homage to Hennessey Digital, since blue is their brand color. The right side is red, just like Hennessey Studio‘s brand color. I flipped the image, that way the model is looking into the future. To further represent my client in this campaign, I decided to add the PLAY icon (taken from the HS logo) and placed it behind the talent.
