I might not be the first one, but it was sure my first time. I attended the 3-D printing exhibition at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich and not only got to see several items printed on these wonderful machines, I was also able to print something. The way they set it up was as a recording. You had to sing, yell or just say something during 5 seconds. The computer recorded this and translated your audio into white matter… mind-blown!

They are trying to pass Measure N which will give hotel housekeepers a living wage of $13 per hour and 5 sick days off a year. They have built an interesting coalition of small business supporting them because the 2,000 hotel workers in Long Beach live there as well.
